Permission

After finalizing the song we emailed the manager of Madeon; the singer who originally sang the song to take permission from him to use his song in our music video.

Song and Story

Song: La Lune by Madeon.
What it would narrate?
The song is basically a sad song and in coordination with the lyrics we came up with the idea that we would show the social problem of depression. The main character of our music video would be depressed and to denote his depression in our music video we planned that the music video will be shot in monochrome. Furthermore, we added a character of a girl who would be a visual representation of the boy's happiness and would be looking for him and hence she will be in color. As our music video is very spiritual the girl looking for the boy will mean that somewhere there is happiness in the boy's life and deep in his heart he wants to be happy but he just has to find it hence when the boy and the girl meet everything would then be in color, it would denote that the boy has found his happiness and has realized that committing suicide is not how you run from your problems and is overcoming his depression.

Group Meeting 2

In this meeting we made an outline regarding the shots and angles and how the storyboard is going to be. The storyboard is in process and once its done we'd be done with pre production and move onto our production phase that is shooting our music video.

As this year I am the cinematographer/DOP of our music video it was really important for me to know and understand the technical aspects of the camera along with a know-how and good command over camera shots and angles. Working on these projects not only increased my editing skills as in the horror short film we worked on Adobe After Effects but also helped me develop cinematography skills.

Our group consists of 4 people. As the new academic year started we made our group and started working on our locations, cast, storyboard, song, shots, props etc for our music video

Introduction

Hello! My name is Yashfeen Muhib and I'm studying in Beaconhouse School System Islamabad. I am in A levels and have taken media studies as one of my subjects.This year we will be making a music video.
As we now have a grip over Adobe Premiere Pro, this year; from the very beginning we started working on Adobe After Effects in order to be able to polish our skills further in editing.
